My top priority in Washington will be to work to level the playing field. We?re truly all in this together, but those with more money, more power and more resources inevitably find themselves with more access to the corridors of power. The system is, in many ways, broken, but that doesn?t mean that things can?t change. If lobbyists are literally writing the legislation, then something is amiss. My loyalty is, of course, to the United States of America, but more specifically the residents of Virginia?s 2nd district, Democrat and Republican alike. I?ll be working on their behalf, representing their interests.
